Yesterday was my Ethan boy’s first day at school. He was very brave and tried to hold his tears
and luckily mummy didn’t cry too! He came home with his 1st drawing
which titles “My First Day At School” and he was telling me happily that he
likes this school!
Can you guess what was he drawing? Well, according to him,
there was him wearing a “7” t-shirt(his favourite number is 7). Mrs Moussa, his teacher was also in the
picture with a tree, a rocket, a rabbit and road signs, “STOP!” I asked him what is “SotR?” “Oh, that is So
Fast!”?@!#?
A gift from his school:A key chain with his name on it!
The library sign was written in multi-languages

This deep-fried Crab Sticks(Surimi) wasn’t in my CNY list until I saw San San@珊珊的小天地 posted it.
She convinced me that this snack is very, very easy to prepare. What she said is very true. The frying stage was split into 2 days and each time took me less than 15 minutes to finish!
I’m sure that both my hubby and father-in-law will love to
have this with their cold beers!
I’m submitting this post to the Chinese New Year Delights 2013,hosted by Sonia@Nasi Lemak Lover.

DeleteEthan looks a lot older than his age in uniform. He is a handsome dude just like his Dad:D His sister is pretty like her mum. It is great that he enjoys his first day of school and he did a pretty good job on the drawing. Your crisypy crab stick will be perfect to go with a glass of wine.
ReplyDeleteQuay Po, you and Quay Lo are so classy, my hubby is a beer person, seldom drink wine and we have like over 50 bottles of wine now, just sitting there!
DeleteJessie~~
ReplyDelete呵呵呵。。。
DeleteEthan sangat pandai ! good boy! ya ya I agreed, this snack is very addictive and can eat non-stop..
ReplyDeleteSonia, I actually made this in 2 rounds, 1st time, not enough, so made another round. Very easy to prepare, frying also only took a short time, if no time to do, can think of this one!

Zoe
Zoe, my hubby said this is the cheating chips, haha!
DeleteHi Jessie,
DeleteNo worries at all if you need me to bring forward the closing date of the Little Thumbs up pineapple event. Please let me know.
Please join us at our tomato event. Doreen will be happy *wink*
To answer your question, I actually bought my tart moulds from Poon Huat at Singapore. I can find the standard plastic ones at the local market near my home but not the heart shaped ones. You have anyone living at Melbourne to buy these for you? Otherwise, please let me know and I can arrange something for you :D
Cheers!
Zoe
how nice of the school to give a personalised handmade keychain! oh, these crabsticks are so addictive, like ngar ku!! put them in front of me, sure gone in minutes!

ReplyDeleteSorry sorry, please check your email!

Li Suan, I 1st cut them into strips, then I realised that they were already cut in perfect strips by the manufacturer, so just have to loosen them only!
Ann, hahaha, this is absolutely ok for me, please help yourself!
DeleteGong Xi Fai Cai to you too Jessie, now can I have a tin of that delicious looking crab sticks...not going to make these because I always never get to eat any! Our crab sticks are not cut and we have to do it ourselves which is very time consuming!
ReplyDeleteJeannie, thanks for telling me that the crab sticks in Malaysia aren't pre-cut. It's much quicker to do it here then!
DeleteHi Jessie,
ReplyDeleteYour crab sticks looks so yummy! These are so addictive, my kids keep eating as I fried them, ordered them to stop or there will not be any left come CNY! There is a brand that sells ready cut, but in wide strands, if you want it smaller, you got to shred it yourself, brand is "Kami". I managed to grab the last pack, the rest I bought are not pre-cut, so very, very, time comsuming, regretted buying that, I could not shred them to nice strands, they keep breaking! So I sliced them thinly instead!
Ethan is a brave little boy! Bravo to him for a smooth first day at school!
Wish you and your family Gong Xi Fa Cai!
